This course focuses primarily on the electrical function and operation of mechanical/heating and cooling systems.  Approximately 80% of the "no heat" and "no air conditioning" complaints by customers require that a technician be able to approach an electrical diagnosis with appropriate instrumentation.  Faculty will utilize a combination theory and systematic approach to troubleshooting a system.  Topics covered include schematic wiring diagrams, applicable mechanical code, and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems.
