Prerequisite(s): (H-102) Electrical Theory and Application, (H-202) Heating, and (H-302) Air Conditioning
Quarter Credit Hours: 4.00
This course focuses primarily on the electrical function and operation of mechanical/heating and cooling systems. Approximately 80% of the "no heat" and "no air conditioning" complaints by customers require that a technician be able to approach an electrical diagnosis with appropriate instrumentation. Faculty will utilize a combination theory and systematic approach to troubleshooting a system. Topics covered include schematic wiring diagrams, applicable mechanical code, and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems.
