This is an introductory course in the operation of residential/light commercial heating systems. This course emphasizes the understanding of basic systems, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair through lecture and hands-on projects. Topics covered include furnace configurations, electrical, schematics, troubleshooting, system components, ignition systems, humidifiers, electronic air cleaners, applicable mechanical code.
