This is an introductory course in the operation of hydronic heating systems. This course emphasizes the understanding of residential hydronic heating systems, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair through lecture and hands-on projects. Topics covered include boiler maintenance, service, sizing, size radiation, size circulator pumps, piping layout, zoning, using boilers as tankless heaters, indirect water heating, and space heating applications. In addition, the student will learn radiant heating, controls, troubleshooting techniques, code, and safety.
