After managing a Kroger for more than a decade, Robert Rein wasn’t feeling satisfied with his job. He was overworked and underappreciated and he needed a change. Knowing that Robert was handy and technical, one of his friends suggested he attend Northwestern Tech. Robert took his advice and enrolled, and has been smiling since. “My favorite things about what I do now are solving and fixing problems, and making people smile. It’s a real sense of accomplishment,” says Robert.
While not a morning person, Robert gets out of bed each morning excited about what he does. “Northwestern Tech gave me the fundamentals to get started in this field. If you take what they give you and run with it, you’ll succeed,” says Robert. He now works full time for Sun Heating and Cooling, spending his days fixing problems in and around the metro Detroit area.
