“I was able to get hands-on experience with equipment I had never seen before, it was an awesome experience”, says Ali Chaaban, a graduate of Northwestern Tech.
Before coming to Northwestern Tech Ali worked as a baker in Dearborn. The long, inflexible hours led him to wanting a change and he found himself considering a career in heating and cooling.
“I was looking for more money, a flexible life, and something that was recession proof, and I found it,” says Ali.
Ali enrolled in 2016 and says his time at the school was exciting, not only because of the hands-on training, but also because the teachers were so knowledgeable and helpful.
Ali graduated top of his class in March of 2017 and has been busy working ever since. He is very motivated to excel in this field; he is busy on the job and has started his own company – 24 Hour Heating, Cooling, & Refrigeration, Inc. He has bought a van and his tools, and is currently working on obtaining his mechanical license. Way to go Ali!
